The lovely strumming of Celtic harpist Lisa Lynne provides a joyful, sometimes pensive reverie for the lucky listener. This classic Windham Hill recording features Lynne performing on her signature instrument, alongside the recorder of George Tortorelli and the violin of Sid Page; a troika whose combined talents results in beautiful melodies with a light chamber music feel. Also heard on the album are cello, bouzouki, dulcimer, bamboo flute, guitar and other instruments that give the music a soft multi-cultural flair, though Celtic influences are most apparent in the music. The pace is breezy, with sunny rhythms ebbing and flowing through the album, which is often at its best when Lynne's harp is center stage. Fans of harp music with a new age Celtic flair will enjoy this album greatly. |
